Our Story

John Meyer, the company’s founder, launched American Wildlife Calendars in 1993 with just one product – a calendar that introduced the strength and grandeur of the North American Mule Deer. Then John added an elk, a whitetail deer and a few other wildlife calendar titles.

Later he acquired the Angler's Catalog Company and Silver Creek Press – to offer a wider variety of new concepts and categories. At our Idaho headquarters, our team produces high-quality calendars that include spectacular images of America’s “Big Game”. Our graphic designers have created a safari calendar that will take your mind all the way to Africa and a beaches calendar that may convince you to plan and “calendar” a relaxing getaway.

America’s finest outdoor-retailers have offered our unique calendars for decades. So have small businesses, contractors, distributors and specialty manufacturers all over the country. In 2015, we will introduce a “Conservation Co-Marketing” program to support foundations and conservation groups that are dedicated to preserving American wildlife habitats for generations to come.
